On Sunday September 6, 2020, BBC Radio Bristol interviewed Dutch writer Alfred Birney about the release of the English translation of his most famous novel ‘The Interpreter from Java.’ The book was originally published in Dutch in 2016 under the title ‘De Tolk van Java’ (De Geus).
