How independent is the Rijksmuseum really? At least they receive 1/3 government-funding. And for the upcoming exhibition ‘Revolusi’ they also work together with Dutch Culture (Foreign Affairs Ministry) and vfonds, which support Dutch veterans:
Curator Harm Stevens once said that the Rijksmuseum is not ready to take a position when it comes to the Dutch reoccupation of Indonesia (1945-1949.)
