Helmy Yahya interviews Anhar Gonggong about the independence war in South Sulawesi in 1946-1947. They talk about the Dutch attempt to create a federal state (divide and rule). And about the terror that was perpetrated by Westerling and his Depot Speciale Troepen (DST). Anhar Gonggong’s family is from South Sulawesi and his father and brothers were murdered as well. Later he became historian and studied the brutal events.
